| Montevideo is the largest city, the capital, and chief port of Uruguay. Described as a "vibrant, eclectic place with a rich cultural life. This is one of my favorite photos. Emilia Garassino took a terrific photo. |

| The busy harbor attest to the fact that Montevideo remains Uruguay's primary port. However, it is the well deserved reputation of the warmth of her people that makes Montevideo one of the nicest cities in all of South America. |
