Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Puerto Quetzal is Guatemala's largest Pacific Ocean Port.  A Port of call you will not want to miss!

Puerto Quetzal is Guatemala's largest Pacific Ocean Port. You can see a great view of Pacaya Volcano from the dock. You can take a Shore excursion to this exciting geo-adventure. Make sure you are in good shape though! It is a strenuous hike.

Another terrific and interesting shore excursion is to the City of Antiqua. This will be a busy day visiting sites like La Azotea Cultural city and the Mayan music house - K'ojom, several churches with a lunch at a famous ex-convent turned into a luxury hotel and museum.
You could visit several coffee estates in Puerto Quetzal region. Some have won international awards from companies such as Starbucks Coffee.
Guatemala has some of the worlds most important Mayan Ruins. A terrific shore excursion would take you through the Highways of Guatemala, home of the living Mayan and a visit to the ancient Mayan ruins.
