Rock of Gibraltar-Entrace to the Mediterranean

Rock of Gibraltar-Entrace to the Mediterranean
British Overseas Territory located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula.

The Rock of Gibraltar is the only landmark of the region. At its foot is the densely populated city area, home to almost 30,000 Gibraltarians and other nationalities.

An interesting resident of Gibraltar is the Barbary Macaques ("apes"). Also common in the Bay of Gibraltar is the Common Dolphin. Along with duty free shopping this makes Gibraltar a fun stop.

There is a terrific cable car that will take you from ground level to the top of the rock, with an intermediate station at Apes'Den where you can see the monkeys up close.

You might also visit a small bay and fishing village in Gibraltar, on the eastern side of The Rock away from the main city. It is the second biggest sandy beach in Gibraltar. What ever you choose to do it will be a great memory.
