An interesting site to visit in Bergen Norway is the Gamlehaugen Castle which is now home to the Norwegian Royal Family. It's history goes as far back as the middle ages. The large English park that surrounds the castle and the ground floor of the house (which is a museum) is open to the public. |

One shore excursion on the Norwegian Star in the Port of Bergen is to the Fantoft Stave Church in Troldhaugen which is the home of the composer, Edvard Grieg for 22 years. Beautifully situated by Nordasvannet Lake. Grieg composed may of his most famous works here. |

Near Bergen, Norway is the Hardanger Fjord. The Hardanger Fjord is one of the favorites among the many, beautiful Norwegian fjords. Its the 3rd largest fjord in the world and the 2nd largest in Norway. |
