Cartagena, Columbia -First Port of Call on a West bound Panama Canal Cruise

Cartagena, Columba
A fun Port of Call in the Caribbean.

The city of Cartagena, Colombia is on the northern coast of Columbia in the Caribbean Coast region. The city was founded on June 1, 1533 and named after Cartagena, Spain.

A lovely traditional dance show was available when I was in Cartagena just off ship. There is lot's to see and do in the charming city.

Cartagena is the city most associated with pirates in the Caribbean, and the world. Today you can explore this once considered gem of the Spanish main.

Whether you take a city walking tour to learn about the fascinating history of Cartagena, Columbia or a cruise of the bay with its tour of the fortress and stories of Pirates it will be a day you will not forget.
